New Cider App
Angry Orchard Cider, part of the Boston Beer portfolio, is launching an augmented reality (AR) smartphone app called Cider & Food. AR technology typically uses a phone’s camera and screen to superimpose something onto the real world. In this case, looking at a specific Angry Orchard expression will prompt food pairings and recipe suggestions for how best to enjoy the cider—for example, by drinking Angry Orchard Pear to accompany a cheese plate. Users will also be able to take a virtual tour of the brand’s orchard in Walden, New York. Cider & Food is now available as a free download in the Apple Store.
