Gallo Extends High Noon With Tequila Seltzers
Spirit of Gallo’s vodka seltzer line High Noon SunSips is readying its first major expansion with the launch of High Noon Tequila Seltzer. Made with blanco Tequila and juice, the line extension will launch with the four flavors—Lime, Grapefruit, Passionfruit, and Strawberry—all at 4.5% abv. Rolling out beginning this month, High Noon Tequila will be available nationally by May and will be supported by a full marketing campaign launching later this month. It will be available in 8-packs of cans priced at $22.

New Kraken
The Kraken Rum is rolling out a new Gold Spiced expression. The 35% abv extension retails at $22 a 750-ml. and is also available in 1-liter and 1.75-liter bottles. Lander Otegui, SVP of marketing at Proximo Spirits, noted that “gold spiced rum occasions are now the highest among the rum category.” To back the launch, the brand is launching a new visual campaign, “Tale of Gold,” as well as a Golden Hour sweepstakes. The advertisement is directed by Rich Lee, known for his work on the first three The Pirates of the Caribbean films.

New Rombauer
Napa Valley’s Rombauer Vineyards is entering the Pinot Noir segment, debuting at 2021 Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir ($65). To source grapes for the new offering, Rombauer partnered with renowned Pinot Noir maker Adam Lee, and sourced from locations owned by the Franscioni and Pisoni families. For Rombauer, known for Chardonnay, this marks the first portfolio expansion since the producer added Sauvignon Blanc in 2014. Rombauer farms nearly 900 acres of vineyards across Carneros, Atlas Peak, Stags Leap, St. Helena, Calistoga, Sonoma Valley, and the Sierra Foothills.

RumChata, part of the Spirit of Gallo portfolio, is introducing a new flavor, Coconut Cream.
