Languedoc winemaker Gérard Bertrand is debuting a new line of organic, unfiltered wines called Trouble XP. O’Neill Vintners’ FitVine has released two varietals in new aluminum bottles. The wines—Sauvignon Blanc and Chillable Red Blend—are now available in select retailers across the U.S. for a suggested price of $15, in addition to DTC availability through the brand’s website. Fitvine’s Sauvignon Blanc comes in at 12.5% abv and 110 calories per serving and the Chillable Red Blend is at 13% abv and also has 110 calories per serving. Last year, FitVine was at 220,000 cases in the U.S., according to Impact Databank.

Sonoma’s Rodney Strong is launching a new Alexander Valley Sauvignon Blanc. The “Fumé-style” limited offering retails at $24 and was aged 54% in 400-liter French Oak barrels—most of which were new oak—45% in stainless steel, and the final 1% in a ceramic egg. Noting that “the California Sauvignon Blanc segment is continuously growing,” Rodney Strong vice president of marketing Erica Odden said the new bottling is catering to consumer demand. It’s debuting now in national retail and online.
