New Myers
Myers’s Rum, part of the Sazerac portfolio, has announced six new rums, including a collaboration with Foursquare Rum and a new series aged in Buffalo Trace Antique Collection barrels. The first rum, Signature Legends Collection—The Legacy Blend #1 ($50), is a 47% abv blend of Jamaican and Barbadian rums created by Richard Seale, blender and distiller for Foursquare. The Signature Cask Collection, meanwhile, sees Myers’s dark rum finished in casks that held George T. Stagg, William Larue Weller, Sazerac Rye 18 Year Old, Thomas H. Handy Sazerac Rye, and Eagle Rare 17 Year Old respectively. The Signature Cask rums are bottled between 41.5% and 50% abv, depending on the finishing cask, and retail at $80 a bottle. Both the Legacy Blend and the Signature Cask Collection are rolling out now.

Jackson Family Wines’ La Crema has expanded into Cabernet Sauvignon, with a new Sonoma County appellated wine from the 2022 vintage. Prosecco Output Keeps Expanding, As U.S. Growth Continues
Prosecco has been the main growth engine for imported sparkling wine lately, accounting for more than 10 million case shipments to the U.S. last year, up from fewer than 8 million cases pre-pandemic, according to Impact Databank. Italy’s bubbly makers are ramping up production to meet demand. Last month, more than 500,000 hectoliters (5.6m 9-liter cases) of Prosecco DOC were bottled, a new record, according to the Consorzio di Tutela Prosecco DOC, and representing an increase of 13% year-on-year.
The United States remains the top market for Prosecco DOC sales, the Consorzio added, importing 42.9 million bottles between January and April 2024—up 4.7% compared to the same period in 2023—and making up nearly one-quarter of the 175.3 million bottles exported worldwide in the first four months of the year. The U.K. follows with 33.6 million bottles, Germany with 15.2 million, and France with 12 million bottles.

Diageo is adding a new entry to its ready-to-serve Cocktail Collection: The Crown Royal Whisky Sour Cocktail with Black Cherry. This seventh offering extends the Collection’s existing lineup of cocktails, which includes the Ketel One Espresso Martini and Tanqueray Negroni among others. The cocktails come in 350-ml. ($14) and 750-ml. ($26) sizes, and each bottle serves four or eight cocktails, respectively, with an average abv of 20%.
