Bonterra Organic Estates Launches Lo And Behold, A New Low-Calorie Wine

Viña Concha y Toro-owned Bonterra Organic Estates is entering the rising low-calorie wine segment with a new label under its Fetzer brand, Lo and Behold. The new entry debuts with a Sauvignon Blanc that carries an abv of 8% and has 80 calories a serving. Lo and Behold retails at $9 a 750-ml. bottle. According to Impact Databank, low-calorie wines grew by strong double-digits last year and are expected to easily surpass three million cases in the U.S. by year-end.

“Fetzer’s new Lo and Behold Sauvignon Blanc embraces conscious consumption,” says Rodrigo Maturana, senior vice president of marketing for Bonterra Organic Estates. “With Lo and Behold, we’re excited to offer a product that aligns with a balanced, wellness-oriented lifestyle.” Bonterra Organic Estates had U.S. volume of 3.2 million cases last year, according to Impact Databank, with brands including Bonterra, Casillero del Diablo, Fetzer, Trivento, 1000 Stories, Cono Sur, and others.

Twisted Tea is launching a higher-alcohol variant called Twisted Tea Extreme. The spinoff is at 8% abv instead of the usual 5% abv.
