Dogfish Head is lining up a switch to its winter seasonal, replacing Chicory Stout with Piercing Pils, which was formerly exclusive to its brewpub. At 6% abv, Piercing Pils is billed as a Czech-style pilsner brewed with pear juice, pear tea and Saaz hops. It will be launching in 4-packs of 12-ounce bottles and on draft December 1. Dogfish Head Chicory Stout isn’t being phased out entirely, but will be available on draft in limited quantities

    CSW, yay! Are you thinking about the CWE? I’m starting to study for that, because, unlike Steve Heimoff, I believe education is never a bad thing.
